I am assistant professor at Anatomy department, IBMS. I hold bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, M.Phil. in Virology & Immunology, and Ph.D. in Applied Biosciences with research in field of cognitive neuroscience. I am actively involved in postgraduate teaching and research supervision, including the supervision of M.Phil. and Ph.D. students.

My research focuses on the effects of stress on memory and behavior, as well as the evaluation of therapeutic interventions for various diseases using animal models, with an emphasis on understanding underlying neurobiological and disease mechanisms.

In addition to my academic responsibilities, I have extensive administrative and academic service experience. I have served as the focal person for weekly research symposia, institutional focal person for Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) activities, and as a member of BMedCon’23 organizing committee. I have served as an editorial member for the first edition of the BMS newsletter. I am focal person for Anatomy department, resource person and facilitator for regular workshops on laboratory animal handling. Furthermore, I am a member and Secretary of the Institutional Committee for Animal Care and Use (ICAUC), contributing to ethical oversight and compliance in animal-based research.
