Mission of IPH&SS is to safeguard and improve health of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan by producing highly qualified public health specialists; able to provide preventive health services to the community with effective communication and research skills.

Director's Message

It is with a profound sense of responsibility and commitment that I welcome you to the Institute of Public Health and Social Sciences (IPH&SS) at Khyber Medical University. In a world and a region facing complex health challenges from infectious diseases and maternal-child health to the growing burden of non-communicable diseases and the critical social determinants of health our mission has never been more vital. We are dedicated to safeguarding and improving the health of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Pakistan. This is not merely an academic pursuit; it is a national imperative.

Our core mission is to cultivate the next generation of public health leaders. We are committed to producing highly qualified, empathetic, and skilled public health specialists. Our graduates are equipped not only with deep technical knowledge but also with the effective communication and rigorous research skills necessary to design, implement, and advocate for evidence-based preventive health services in communities that need them most.

Guided by our vision to become a regional academic leader with global importance, we strive for excellence in every facet of our work.
