Vice Chancellor of Khyber Medical University (KMU), Peshawar Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq, along with Controller of Examinations Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saleem Gandapur, visited Ummah Children's Academy in Nowshera, where they reviewed the institution’s educational, training, and welfare activities and interacted with students and faculty.

Ummah Welfare Trust Pakistan is a non-governmental, registered charitable organization that operates on a 100% donation-based policy. The trust is actively engaged in supporting orphans and underprivileged individuals by providing educational and healthcare facilities, Ramadan food packages, dialysis centers, and other welfare projects.

The Ummah Children’s Academy is the trust’s largest educational project, offering free accommodation, food, clothing, medical facilities, and quality education to orphaned children. The academy’s students have consistently excelled in board examinations, with over 100 students having completed the memorization of the Holy Quran. Graduates of the academy are now studying at prestigious institutions such as Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI), KMU, KMC, UET, AMC, and other renowned universities, while many have gone on to serve in the Pakistan Army, Air Force, Police, medical, and engineering fields.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Zia Ul Haq expressed his admiration for the academy, stating, "Had I not visited Ummah Children’s Academy, I would have missed a great opportunity. This institution, under the supervision of highly qualified teachers and respected scholars, is imparting both religious and contemporary education to its students."

He encouraged the students to develop their skills and make full use of the facilities available to them. The Vice Chancellor also assured full cooperation from KMU and appreciated the educational and welfare services of Ummah Welfare Trust, expressing his hope that the institution will continue its noble mission with the same enthusiasm in the future.
