Diploma in Family Medicine (DFM)

COURSE OBJECTIVES ARE TO:

  • To train Primary Care Physicians in the management of common conditions presenting to the primary health care, including management of non-communicable diseases.
  • To improve the consultation skills of Primary Care Physicians.
  • To familiarise them with evidence-based medicine and give them access to available resources and management guidelines.

 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

  • MBBS
  • Valid PMDC Registration
  • 12 months of House Job in a PMDC recognized hospital
  • Candidates already working in public sector primary care are encouraged to apply.
  • Candidates with a minimum of 6-month experience in primary care will be given preference.
